Stephen Lanza (Boog) has a unique ability to combine comedy and film that has been pleasing audiences since he first picked up a camera many years ago. Since graduating from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Film, Steve has amassed an impressive body of work which spans theater, film, and television. He spent several years writing and performing in interactive murder mystery shows, has performed stand up comedy, and acted in more children shows than he can count. BlackHole Television, a television show created and produced by Steve ran for 44 episodes on local Manhattan and Long Island television stations. Steve used his natural improv ability to perform at Nickelodeon’s Extreme Baseball Park at Shea Stadium. He continued to hone his improv skills at Upright Citizens Brigade. Boog ’n Shoog is not Steve’s first foray into puppetry having created the much loved television show, “Floogie McKrankits Karaoke Party”. Steve is currently in post production of his first feature film, the romantic comedy, “Death’s a Bitch”, which he wrote, produced, and directed.  Steve is the extremely proud father of his incredible three year old son, Dylan, who has appeared on Boog ’n Shoog.

Russell Dreher (Shoog) has a love of storytelling in many forms and an incredibly varied set of experiences to help foster those stories. Russell’s degree in psychology led him to graduate school to study neurobiology at UVM.  While in that program, he became involved in the local theatrical community and became a part of the artistic team that ran Green Candle Theater Company.  In addition, he performed in touring children theatrical productions with the Green Mountain Guild and the Association of Vermont Recyclers. Over the years, Russell has toured in numerous children theater productions, and performed both in the US and abroad.
